| Welcome to The Barn
at CombeHead Cottage
I hope you have a happy and enjoyable stay in the converted stable we call our small barn. This original building (extended by us) was built around 1750 and used to house the Royal Mail horses on the route from Bristol to London. |

There is a fully fitted kitchen if you wish to stay longer than 2 or 3 days and don’t want to eat out all the time. Alternatively, there is a menu provided for The Crown, Giddeahall (pronounced Giddyhall!) which is less than 200 yards from the Barn, easily within walking distance. We provide a torch for those wishing to go to The Crown for their evening meal as we don’t have any street lighting. |
| Safety facilities in the barn include fire blanket and extinguisher (located in the cupboard to the left of the sink) and a first aid kit. In the event of a fire please exit through one of the three main access doors, ie the patio doors, back door or front door. A No Smoking Policy applies within the Barn. Pets with well behaved owners are welcome but please let us know first as pets come in many categories.
